Video Presentations

Three video presentations produced to introduce the World Timecapsule project to a general audience, and to students and educators participating in the project. “The World Timecapsule”, 1988, presents a dramatic overview of the concept, including a section about the Voyager record. This video originated as a live dual projector slideshow (old-school film-based transparency slides!). Then “World Timecapsule Educational Pilot Project”, 1989, presents the first test program of the project’s use in the classroom. Finally “A Message for Eternity”, 1990, makes its case for the far reaching goals and vision of the project as it continued to expand its reach to more students. These presentations all originated on standard definition video tape and were transferred to these digital versions in 2024.
